I went to your store at 2215 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074, and the manager refused to honor a battery that was under warranty. He said that because I had let the car sit over the winter, that the warranty was void. I asked if I could see where it says that the Warranty becomes void after the car sits for too long during the winter months. He started fumbling through documents, after 5 mins I said, which i guess i shouldn't have, "why is he making things difficult for me, just honor the warranty, the 20-30$ you make is not enough to argue with customers about warranties, and if they should fulfill them," little did I know he was the manager, and not one of the other workers, otherwise I would have been correct. He then puffed up his chest and said that I was causing problems, and that I needed to leave the store. He took a center stance in front of me like he was willing to fight, this is an elderly gentleman, who runs the store. I could have taken his actions as a threat, I asked him to calm down and stated that I didn't mean to offend him, and that I am in the same boat as him, and we all do not get paid enough, and that I'm just a guy who doesn't have money to spend on a battery that is supposed to be under warranty. He said not a chance! started to yell at me, every single one of your employees hung their heads in shame. Nobody in the store would look at me. I went across the street to Advanced auto parts, and they said that yeah this was a common theme with that store. People get kicked out of there all the time! Wow, impressive! I am glad that's the auto zone I get to deal with in my community. I have been a loyal customer of yours for years now. Well, interchanging autozone, and autoparts, because I saw them as interchangeable businesses. I will never go back to an autoZONE again. This is the same review I sent to corpo. Dont shop here. Just go across the street to Advanced Autoparts, the people are nicer, and they wont scream and act like babies.

Manager refused to honor loaner policy. Claimed item was not a loaner despite being listed on their placemat at the counter as a loaner. Older guy with glasses was not helpful and making up his own rules.

Unbothered

I was at this store in Hampstead MD today and the customer service here is amazing. Not only did they got in a car battery I needed within 24 hours, they installed it for me as well. They made sure I got the best prices (packaging purchases for discounts) and as a female I often find some auto places to be rude and/or condescending. They were helpful, pleasant, kind and polite. My family will definitely be repeat customers - even if the drive is 20 minutes longer, they deserve the business and are worth the trip. Well done gentlemen, and thank you!
