J & L Towing towed my son's car from his new apartment at The Mosaic in a Largo, MD due to "no parking tag". However, his parking tag was hanging on the rear view mirror but turned around. The driver could have gone to the window to see that my son had his tag. Not sure what the motivation was or lack thereof since he had to get out of the truck anyways. When I called to get the price, the rep said it was $175. When we got there, it had gone up to $233.00. My son is serving in the military in Washington, DC and just moved in to the Mosaic. I understand business as I have my own in Atlanta, GA, but I thought that price was a little inflated and that the driver was motivated by money. Wayne Reaves USAF VETERAN

I am very disappointed with J&L Towing. Today, my car was towed while I was parked briefly at the Giant Supermarket—literally 3–4 minutes inside to use the restroom because I’m pregnant. Other cars were parked nearby, but mine was targeted. When I called to try to resolve the situation or negotiate the fee, the tow operator was hostile and unwilling to discuss anything. I asked if we could settle for a slightly lower fee due to the circumstances, and he flatly refused. The fee was $175, and there was no flexibility at all. This experience felt unnecessarily harsh and stressful, especially given the very short time my car was parked. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

I usually don't get involved in other businesses how they operate them. But I'm hoping the owner read this review. My daughter's car was towed and had a vistor's pass on the dash board and was towed for not having one in the car in full display and they said it wasn't one in there, I know for a fact it was in the car because I was reading through the windshield and the car was locked. Whoever towed the car (driver) removed it so they can get a tow job. That is real petty to do something like to people. But I'm doing now putting cameras in and around the car to catch them as of today, but I'm using a different car that they haven't seen. You're not going to keep taking advantage of people and not paying for this crap. I hope your driver falls for this trap because y'all will be on every News outlet in the DMV and on Facebook and IG.
