TLDR: DO NOT HESITATE to buy a vehicle from Dahlstrom Motors in Oslo, MN. I worked with Bob and he was AMAZING, the delivery guys were PHENOMENAL, their front desk gal was also TERRIFIC! This business goes above and beyond for its customers. ❤️ They treat you like family. I am not sure how I lost track of time! I guess I was too busy enjoying my new, used car and gifts! So I’ve had my car a little over a year now, I received it June 13, 2023. I have agoraphobia (fear of being outside of my bubble). At the time, I couldn’t even drive more than 2 miles from home. Volkswagen EOS (the type of car I had been pining over for years), was discontinued in 2016 so they’re not super easy to come by but that’s what I wanted. For several years, I called and checked in with the local VW dealership to see if they could be on the lookout for one for me and to let me know. Every time they took my information and none of the times did they contact me back. I eventually stopped in and talked to someone in person because I decided that 2023 was the year I was going to buy one of these babies. I met with a very nice man at the local office who took down what I was looking for and said they’d get back to me when they go to auction (I never heard back from them). While all of this nonsense locally was going on, I started calling dealerships across the country. I said hey, I want to buy an EOS, I’m not able to come see it but I’m going to buy one and want it delivered. Holy smokes were people nice- everyone offering to video chat, take pics and videos, drive it and record audio (the works). For one reason or another none of them ended up being the right fit for me or ended up getting sold by another agent while I was waiting for someone to get back to me. And then one day, I found on some car finder website (not car finder) DAHLSTROM MOTORS and my beautiful light blue EOS. I didn’t even realize it came in that color. I was immediately in love! I called the office and the woman who answers the phone was so sweet and nice. I had told her about how I had lost out on one and that I did not want to lose out on this car. She put me in touch with Bob. Now Bob is a very pleasant, no nonsense guy, who sounds like your favorite uncle. I told him my situation about not being able to come to see it and that I wanted it but I would need it delivered. His tone of voice was kind and understanding. No problem said Bob- we’ll hold it for you. I had to contact the bank to arrange payment to them. He said I trust you and texted me his business card. GREEN FLAGS right and left! He sent me the paperwork digitally and I got the dealership the money (my family concerned that I was buying a car sight unseen from a dealership that I thought was only a couple hours away (boy was I wrong)). I trusted the detailed photos and info that was given to me and they answered every question. They offered if I wanted any other video or photos etc but I declined. Bob said he had a guy who could deliver the car on a certain day. Something ended up coming up so it had to be postponed. That guy ended up having some issues and couldn’t make the trip so Bob wrangled up 2 amazing men (see photo) who do other jobs in the shop to drive her down. They called and let me know when they left (mind you this is a 7 hour, 10 min (without stopping) drive ONE WAY!) and let me know approx when they thought they’d get here. The guys on the road called when they were getting close. They showed up when they said they would- the car was washed and shiny, and had a full tank of gas! The boys showed me how to use some of the features (as I had never even been in one before) and then they hopped in the vehicle the 2nd guy was driving and immediately headed back. All of the paperwork was in the car just as Bob said it would be and he included a Dahlstrom Motors swag bag!!!! In a reusable shopping bag was a little Dahlstrom stuffed guy, a sunglass holder, a hat (super cute cheetah print and girly crisscross in the back), a visor, ceramic coasters for the cup holder, and scissors. Super thoughtful.
