I’ve had a positive experience with All Makes Vacuum in the past when they quickly and efficiently repaired our Kirby vacuum, so I hate coming back now to leave a negative review. This time, when our Kirby needed a different repair, I did not hesitate to bring it to All Makes right away. I dropped it off at the end of the week and was given the expectation that I would receive a call by mid-week the following week that it would be ready for pick up. That call didn’t come. So called them multiple times. No answer, so I left a message. No one called back. The next day I called again multiple times. No answer, so I left a message. The next day, I called again. No answer, so I just went to the store. The same guy I dropped off the vacuum with explained that they’ve been swamped and he’s by himself, but the vacuum should be ready early the following week. I called mid-week the following week and no answer. I didn’t bother leaving a message. I called again at the end of the week. No answer again. So I just went back to the store. Same guy gave the same explanation - swamped and by himself, but that it should be ready next week. He’s had our vacuum for over 2 weeks at this point, and at this point I just decided to take the vacuum back and bring it elsewhere. I understand getting behind due to a backlog and being short staffed, but WHERE IS THE COMMUNICATION? Where is the professional courtesy of returning the phone call of an active customer? Disappointed because I liked this place. They do good work and are close by.

Extremely Disappointed – Unacceptable Service and Communication I dropped off my vacuum over 8 weeks ago and the experience since then has been nothing short of frustrating. After two weeks of complete silence, I had to make multiple calls just to speak to someone, only to be told they were waiting on the manufacturer. Fine — I was patient. But the lack of communication continued. I called again a week later and got voicemail only. Then I found out the store was closed due to illness — again, no notice, no updates, no courtesy call. At week 6, I was beyond frustrated. Finally, on Thanksgiving Eve, I received a call saying my vacuum was ready. I was out of town for the holiday, but when I went to pick it up on Monday, December 1, the store was closed again — with no notice on the website, no Facebook update, and no mention on the phone system when I pressed 1 for 'Hours and Location.' I had to call back and press 3 for general inquiries just to be told, once again, they were closed due to illness. This is completely unprofessional. If you're going to close your business repeatedly, the bare minimum is to keep your customers informed. I still don’t have my vacuum, and I’m left wondering if I’ll ever get it back. I do not recommend this business to anyone who values their time, money, or basic customer service.

I wish I had read the most recent reviews before I brought my vacuum to All Makes Vacuum. I brought it in on Sept. 15th. I will agree that Zach was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was going to do an inspection and install a new cord and quoted $100. He did explain that since the machine was over 20 years old that parts could break, but would notify me if any problems. Should be ready within 2 weeks. Over a month has passed and I haven't heard anything, even though I have called 3 times and left messages, but none of the calls were returned. I don't know if it is fixed, if there was a problem, or what has happened to it. If he was too busy to do the necessary repairs, he should have told me that up front. I have decided since the vacuum is over 20 years old it is not worth the $100 cost I might have to pay to pick it up. I have decided to buy a new vacuum, which I initially would have bought from him, had he at least had the courtesy to return my calls. But that's certainly not going to happen now. I also won't be referring him to any of my friends, but will be telling my friends not to use All Makes Vacuum.
