We took our daughter’s car in because her air conditioning stopped working. They said it need a new compressor and it cost $1200 to repair. The car was running fine and no warning lights were on. After they repaired the air conditioner, two miles from the shop, the check engine light started flashing. They said it was safe to drive, and to bring it back in. It isn’t ok to drive a car that is misfiring, so I had it towed to the shop. They then said it needed a new knock sensor $90 and replaced that. Then all sorts of warning lights started flashing and they said it needed a new ABS Pump & Module $1289. At this point we were hamstrung and reluctantly agreed. Roughly $3500 later, on the way home again the airbag light went on and the fasten seat belt light started flashing. At this point I wouldn’t trust them to open the car door, let alone attempt to fix anything ever again. Lesson learned, don’t take your car to Mangols.
