Asked him to do the front (disk) brakes. I had parts, didn't need rotors. Brought it in and he put it on the lift. Then I told him I don't want to do it, it's winter and I don't have a garage. He took advantage and told me $1,300. I question it saying, just the front brakes and I have the parts, it will take you less than an hour? He said yep. Not sure if I crossed him in a past life or? It's really not ethical or moral. It took me an hour and a half. I shouldn't have wasted my time, I just should have done it. I know Automotive. I know cars enough to do minor maintenance. I have done many brake jobs for myself and friends. Even drum brakes. This car is one of the easiest to do. Not sure if he didn't want to do the job, honesty is best. Or, he thought he would make $1000 extra. Just do not be surprised if you get charged way to much.

Last time i went to Charlie’s, my beater truck popped up with service engine and i had him take a look with his sensor. He took into account of the age and condition of the truck and told me that it wasn’t worth looking into and that i didn’t owe him anything. I’m very appreciative of the advice.

I have never trusted a mechanic until I met Charlie. Very trustworthy and reliable. Price is fair; and you can’t put a price on a mechanic that stand by his word. I’ve had several parts replaced under warranty. Charlie has also looked at a few vehicles that I was interested in buying and gave me some tips to look out for. Highly recommend.
