This was an interesting mill to visit. The mill was once powered by dual overshot water wheels. One wheel was used to power three runs of mill stones and the second wheel powered the roller mill equipment. All that is left of the water wheels now is the half of a bearing box. It does look like some work has been to stabilize the building since there is cribbing under the floor of the mill. Just up the road from the mill is the miller's house. It is now be used as an antique shop. The owner was fantastic to talk with and is interested in preserving the history of the mill site. This was the last operating water powered mill in the region.
