I wont be going to another scrapyard after my experience here. People actually come help you when you pull in. Quickly and efficiently. Compareable or better prices then places where people treat it like a chore to even come up to you. This is the only scrapyard i will go to from now on. I wish i could give it more stars. I dealt with joe, he was great.

I am so done with this place. I always weigh my crushed cans before I take them . My 4 bags weighed about 144lbs. There scale said 122lbs. They claim that they have to allow for liquid and I get that. Did you know that water weighs just over 8lbs. Per gallon. That being said I figured I must have had almost 3 gallons of liquid in those 4 bags. Now for the rest of the story. I took my PELLET stove over that weighed 220lbs when I bought it in 2002 and today it weighed in at 175lbs. but I did remove 1fan and the burn pot. So I guess that's where the difference in weight came from. So I took my $3.90 for the stove and said ok thanks and have a nice day.

Would recommend anyone go anywhere else but here. Scale worker acts as if he’s angry to see you. Proceeds to go through everything that I’ve already sorted with a fine toothed comb, and takes his sweet time about it. I’m talking molasses in the winter time speed. Meanwhile, he’s not saying a word. Allegedly finds one piece of irony brass, but I don’t know about it until I get my receipt. Like I said, kid was mute, and chubby. Maybe he gets a donut, or cookie, everytime he finds a screw in a brass fitting? I don’t know? Oh, and for ferrous metal, i.e., steel and such, they pay an awful per gross ton price. You are losing a substantial amount of dough vs. what you’d be paid for it at a real scrapyard with per hundred pricing.
