I recommend CHaRM to all of my friends who want to dispose of things sustainably! This incredible place takes tons of different materials and makes sure they get recycled in the best way possible. You can bring all sorts of things here that won't be recycled anywhere else: mattresses, toilets, plastic bags, electronics, styrofoam, and much more. The staff and volunteers are very sweet, and most things can be recycled for only a $3 facility fee (some things cost extra because of the costs to recycle them). It's also super handy that it's right next door to Resource Central, where you can go shop for a wide variety of upcycled home and garden supplies.

We've recycled many things here. For three dollars you get to recycle many different items. I was most concerned about the hard drives on a couple of old laptops. I was informed they send them to an approved company that shreds the drives for protection of any information that may be left on them. Perfect!!!

Tried to recycle some electronics including my old tech conference badges and some PCBs I no longer need today. The individual in charge of this first glared at me, did not greet me, and said they would need my name to start processing the items. I said my name is Kelly, then they said again quite rudely TELL ME YOUR NAME. I said it sounds like would be easier for me to type it, and they just shouted louder at me. I finally just took my stuff back off the cart and left. I am not fully clear if the guy was just really hard of hearing or what, but he seemed very upset in general. I would avoid this place.
