Staff is extremely rude, treated us like we were going to hide a dead body in the leaves or something. Searched the back of the truck then lectured me about a bit of dirt stuck to a plant and that I was "not allowed to leave that there" and they "would be searching the truck before I leave" to make sure I obeyed their rules, like I was a criminal or something. When I pulled up to actually dump the other leaves I had to get rid of, I was lectured yet again by a rude, angry lady about the same thing. Then, when backing in, she is yelling at me to leave room for the car next to me, well duh, I've only been driving for 30+ years. I would rather drive the extra miles to Scarborough where the staff is actually kind than to deal with these yahoos again.

I borrowed a family member's vehicle with a trailer to drop off some bagged vegetable garden vines and tree branches. When I arrived, there were two other residents also unloading. Behind me was one other car. In my mind, that does not qualify as very "busy". The sole employee proceeded to rush me and offered no help as he watched me slowly and carefully back my trailer between the two cars that were already unloading. I asked if I could pull off to the side and wait to back up since I'm not used to driving the trailer. He told me "no" and to try to back up slowly. He then proceeded to get irritated that I wasn't moving fast enough for him while threading the needle with my trailer. There was only one other car waiting who quickly took the spot of someone else who was leaving. As I was pulling out to leave, he told me I need to learn to back up the trailer faster to not hold people up. There was no one in line when I left! They were not busy at all! The employee working there today was on quite a power trip. Sir, this is a residential yard trim facility, not a timed military drill. I swear, you give some low level local government employees an ounce of authority, and they suddenly think they're the sheriff. Additionally, their hours are very limited and they sometimes close whenever they feel like it.

Staff are hit or miss. Some nice, some incredibly rude, and some don't even say a word to you throughout the whole process. They also close whenever they feel like it, even if it's still open business hours. 2 stars mostly because it's free.
