I was in a serious accident that totaled my vehicle. The police had my car towed because it was blocking traffic. Earlier this year, in May, my family and I lost our home due to a tornado, and many of the few belongings my child and I still had were inside the vehicle — it had essentially become our temporary home. When I contacted the tow yard to retrieve our personal items, I was told I would have to pay $600 just to access our belongings — not to release the vehicle, but simply to get our things out. I was then told I could only take a car seat and either a birth certificate or Social Security card. Given the circumstances, this was incredibly upsetting and felt deeply unfair. At a time when we were already dealing with significant loss and trauma, being denied access to our personal property unless we paid such a high fee showed a lack of compassion and understanding during an emergency.

Brandon was really sweet, nicest tow truck I’ve had so far when I was stranded in STL (2 tire blowout). Price wasn’t too bad either. Definitely better than being stranded there— he even offered to wait for us at the tire place in case he needed to take us to a different one. Would definitely use this service again!
