Just moved into the neighborhood and looking for a reliable auto shop to service my cars. Walked by this shop one day and noticed how clean and bright it looked. Decided to give them a try. Brought one car in for a state inspection and oil change one morning and spoke with Fernando. He was very courteous and appears to be owner/manager. Shortly after getting home, received a call from him that the car did not need an oil change, since the car has full synthetic oil and very low mileage since last change. Honestly. this is the first time a shop told me this. Could have changed the a oil and charged a small fortune but didn't. Do I detect a sense of honesty here? Well, I'm very happy to find this place and will bring another car here next month for servicing. Will definitely recommend this place to others.

Let's start off with I have a degree in automotive technology. I followed another career path after 8 years working as a mechanic. I moved to New York to follow a career in Horology. I don't have a two car garage with tools anymore because this kind of house would cost 2million dollars. I went to this location because it was close to work. I dropped off my car for a inspection only. They called me and said they couldn't pass my car because it had a oil leak. I have been changing my oil and servicing this car since 2016. I know it had a class 3 leak where oil forma a drop but doesn't drop. Being new to new york I accept thier offer. They can approve my inspection if I get new valve covers installed. They throw in I should get spark plugs since they are already there. Makes sense to me since I work on cars most of my life. Let's do this. $800 bucks for inspection, valve covers, and spark plugs. Seems high but okay. I go to pick up my car. Still not done. Rushing and made promises they couldn't keep. Three months later I do my oil change. What do I see. The oil drop is still there. Imagine that. The oil drop that they couldn't pass my car for inspection. I look closer and being the only person to ever service this car besides this shop. My oil pan looks odd. Now the guy mentioned at the shop how hard it was to do the valve cover gaskets because they had to lift the motor. Very true. You hook a engine hoist up and lift it. Did they do that? No. They decided to push the engine with the transmission connected using a block of wood on the oil pan. This pan is from 2011 and seen it's better days. You can clearly see it's rusted and needs attentions soon. Why would anyone push on this oil pan. Now here is the best part. I go to my mechanic and ask about the oil drip. Can this pass inspection... my mechanic from NY says with a smile. Absolutely. He pulls out a sheet and shows me what all is inspected. Not one mention about a wet oil drip will fail your car. So I still have a leaking gasket that they inspected the car, now I have a semi crushed oil pan, and still will have to pay someone to do the job they failed to do. All shops should be required go give in writing a estimate with exactly what they are claiming and why. Stop allowing those thst are new, not automotive technicians, and trusting others because we think they are honest. In a nut shell. This shop lied, stole my money, and clearly knows I will not waste my time trying to prove this over a few hundred bucks in small claims court that I will never see anyways. I should have made them put it in writing. So don't get anything from this shop unless it's in writing. You were warned
