I had a large vehicle that needed towed 9.5 miles. Eastland did not quote a price to me ahead of time, but because they cite heavy duty vehicle towing as a service they offer, I assumed they would bring a large flatbed or a big rig to tow my vehicle. Instead, when they arrived, they brought a standard tow truck (not a flatbed), arrived much later than they said they would, charged me an extra $50 to remove the driveshaft from the rear differential, and then after the truck arrived, the driver did not reinstall the driveshaft or reconnect the transmission shifter linkage. So, that meant I had to crawl underneath the vehicle myself and reconnect something that I didn't take apart, and one of the parts to reconnect it was missing, as the driver did not secure them, and just left them on the floor of the truck. After all this, I was hit with an invoice for $606. This comes to around $63 per mile. "thezebra.com" says that "The average cost per mile for towing is $4.75, ranging from $2.50 per mile on the low end to as much as $7 per mile on the high end." and continues to say "For large or heavyweight vehicles, expect your tow to cost 20-25% more than the average." Taking this into consideration, the max would be $8.75 a mile. I was provided zero explanation why my tow cost nearly 7 times the price of the average. The $606 invoice shows that $65 was for the 10 miles at $6.50 a mile, but they tacked on a "Heavy Duty Tow" charge of $425, a $50 charge to remove drive shaft, and a 4% credit card fee (which I was also not told of in advance). According to a study on predatory towing that the ATRI published in 2023, 82.7% of carriers had experienced excessive rates and 81.8% experienced unwarranted extra charges. Sadly, I believe I became a part of those groups. Avoid Eastland if possible.

The worst towing company in Columbus , the only going to get ur money. Unprofessional people but if u complain the treat u in a bad manner. Dont call this guys.
