Fuel pump gave out on me on I-75 northbound near the theypherd Lane exit during a evening. Temperature had been dropping all day and by the time I got the car to the shoulder it was well below freezing with wind making it feel worse. I was not in a safe spot and I knew it. Called Road Side Street Towing and the dispatcher confirmed my location before I had even finitheyd describing the exit. they told me to stay in the car with the heat on and the hazards running even if the battery was draining slowly. Driver came in 36 minutes which in those conditions on I-75 felt fast. He had his amber bar and reflectors set before he even stepped out, loaded the flatbed on a tight shoulder, and drove me to a shop on Reading Road that could get the part ordered first thing Thursday morning. Off that I-75 shoulder in winter conditions and in a shop in under 90 minutes. Exactly what I needed.
