I'm in Milford working for a few months and I have been hearing a thumping noise on my right side of the car for a few weeks. While I was in town I decided to have it looked at and I read the reviews about the Cox Brothers Automotive and they all were positive. So I stopped in there without an appointment and they were so polite and very nice. They immediately took my car in and looked at it. They checked my suspension and pointed out what it could be that was making the noise. They tighten up some things and answered all my questions and was very polite and nice. If you're in town or need some work done, these are the guys. Whatever the noise was that I was hearing, they fixed it and they didn't charge me hardly anything. If I lived here and needed mechanical work, this would be my place. I'm talking Chick-fil-A customer service.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. I broke down 50 miles out of town and hitchhiked into Milford on a prayer. I looked for a tow service and found the Cox brothers conveniently located right by the gas station in the middle of town. I cannot stress enough how friendly, welcoming and understanding these guys are. Within 20 minutes I was riding along back to my car with Mutt, one of the brothers who co-own the shop. As we drove along, I was given some history about the area (which is incredibly beautiful) and friendly conversation. We retrieved my car and I was exhausted so I took a nap on the way back. The shop is super clean, and they do great work. They definitely have a good relationship with the other people in town, and have a steady flow of work. They were not particularly busy so we got to work looking at my car (which has, as I know now, some serious problems) and went about finding the most economical and doable fix to get me back on the road. My car was overheating, and they ordered some parts to swap in the next morning. They had a lot of work the next day so they let me swap out the parts myself under their very helpful guidance. Again my car was overheating so I spent the night again in hopes that leaving early in the morning would keep the car cool. Unfortunately, I was unlucky and the car seems beyond repair for the time being. Their commitment to getting me back on the road without any mechanic shenanigans or paying through the nose has been an incredibly refreshing experience. I really cannot express how thankful I am that I ended up at their shop, and as I sit in my motel room waiting for them to return on Monday, I am looking forward not only to seeing them again (because they’re really great guys) but also buying a truck from their very capable shop to tow my car back to New York. 6 stars, would get stranded in the desert again. Aaron and his brother Mutt are really upstanding dudes. They also have popsicles.
