Miss those days riding bikes around the lake, trails, and watching the bears walk about. Just watch out for those Gators. Lots of them swimming around the lake in the summertime, especially down at the beach.

I lived here for nearly 30 years and have seen the changes (good and bad) to this community. There is no denying how amazing the beach/lake is! With all that has occurred since March my family and friends (many considered family) have used this lake as our staycation destination. From the restaurant to the clean facilities they all rave about our "beach". I want to give two big shout outs to the maintenance crew who grooms the beach every morning and the life guards who are SUPER friendly and caring. I tell them how much they make the beach a welcoming place for families with their willingness to go above and beyond. Trust me when I tell you, it is a different feel being there now than it was when I was younger and a lot of it starts with the lifeguards but of course extends to the facilities and staff.
