Nelson Scrap Metal is an amazing yard to visit. Not only do they have the best prices in town, they are super friendly, and super clean. I don't feel like I'm gonna get a flat tire when I drive through the lot. As long as you do your part and separate your metals, etc . It's normally a very fast trip, but if you're not sure or need some help they will assist you. When it's time to get paid , they even offer you a cold drink of your choice. This is a family friendly business. I highly recommend.

Terrible. I was greeted disrespectfully and denied 600+ lbs of brass shells (70,000+ brass shells) over 1 steel shell casing that didn't even come from my collection. Was forced to repackage my scrap and vacate the premises. There was no one to help me with thw justification of this disgruntled employee and when he showed me the empty magnet then waved it through my brass again not a single flaw after multiple attempts. Im talking 15 or more attempts. Then he escorted me out the gate where I was left with the 55 gallon drum and my brass. Not a single employee offered aid or assistance against this tyrannt of an employee and when I asked to speak with management I was denied and ignored. When I was finally repacked and leaving the facility I was followed over 15 miles when I contacted law enforcement and went to the Layton police department when they finally diverted and I was able to go home safely. Never will I come back here and i will shoe anyone away who mentions the name Nelson's away from this corrupt and prejudice facility. I do plan on reporting this to whomever I need to seek justice for thw harassment I received from this facility. My dash cam had it all recorded.
