This is an upscale campground -- half tent, half cabin makes it warmer (also has a fireplace) with bunkbeds (4). Outside picnic area with fire ring & bear cupboard. Not quite glamping, but no tents to set up. Only complaint: no handicap bathroom - one would never be able to get a chair or walker in the narrow stalls.

Spent 5 days in the tent cabins at Colter Bay with family, including 3 young kids. We loved our stay! We appreciated the amenities, the cleanliness of the facility (including electricity and plumbing in the bathrooms), and the quality of the tent cabins. We had quite a bit of rain and had no problems with getting wet and stayed mostly warm at night. We had a group of 9 and reserved 134/136, which are connected by the wood walls (basically a cross with the canvas tents in offsetting corners). The area gave the kids space to play and was a safe environment. We will definitely be back!

The tent village at Grand Teton was a very convenient stay on our cross country moving trip after adventures in Yellowstone/Grand Teton area and was a great option for our adventure kitty’s first camping experience! The “tent” is two solid walls (these walls have two metal hanging bunks each with a basic cot) with two walls that are tarp material (not fully connected like a wall at the bottom that can allow for small animals and bugs to enter the “tent”; one has a window ). The bottom bunks are most likely the most used, so understandable they felt a little like a hammock from the wear. The “tent” also has a shelf area with a light, a wooden stove, and a solid wooden door (there is a basic hook lock but ours did not align up to lock so we had an item in front that would scrap the floor if something/one opened our door). The site offers a picnic table under a section of the “tent’s” outside roof as well as a fire pit and bear box that can accommodate a lot. The restroom was a short walk away from the site and was one of the cleanest campground bathrooms I’ve had and had plumbed toilets and sinks. ***ONE NIGHT OF LODGING IN EARLY JUNE, only reason we would not consider rebooking as a campground site option our next Grand Teton/Yellowstone adventure is because we would book a traditional tent site to use our REI Half Dome 3+ that fully closes from bugs with our Nemo Roamer air mattress as it is more comfortable compared to the provided bunks***
