It's very simple! If you care about price, honesty and competence bring your car to Brandywine Motor Works. Pete and his team are true professionals and I would highly recommend them, no job too big or small. I've literally just returned from picking up my BMW from Pete. The car was booked in with little lead time, I was given a loaner to get me home, the work was completed very quickly in a matter of hours and I paid less than half of what the quote for the same work was from a main BMW dealer. I’ve had Pete look after my last 3 BMWs and I will continue to visit with all future cars. I’m one very happy customer!

TL;DR - If you’re seeking a trustworthy independent mechanic for your BMW, bring it to Brandywine Motor Works. Peter and Dave were great to work and saved me a great deal of money over what I was quoted for the same work from another Bavarian specialist mechanic in the West Chester area. Don’t make the same mistake I did, bring it here first. A little background - it was my first time seeking a BMW specialist in the WC area and the other mechanic was the first to come up on my Google search bc it was closest and is highly rated, so I called. Mine was not a straightforward case - the top was malfunctioning and because they’re very complicated mechanisms, most mechanics tell you to just take them to the BMW dealership. So I took it there and paid $750 for an unnecessary hydraulic fluid flush of the convertible top mechanism and then was told it needed a new pump and hydraulic lines to be properly repaired at a cost of up to $2500. Upon receiving the quote, I told the owner / lead mechanic to halt all work, hung up the phone and began searching for alternatives. The first place I called was Brandywine - I explained the situation to Peter and he was also surprised at the quote, but asked me to bring the car in so he could assess and validate the diagnosis from the other shop. In the end, the pump was fine but one hydraulic line had ruptured and needed to be replaced. The overall repair, including other unrelated work, cost less than half of the quoted amount. Thanks to Peter, Dave, and CJ for getting my car situated and back on the road.
