I went to tow a car today. After they tried to charge me tax exempt fees, I explained how the auto industry works ( they weren’t aware). Marty the owner was trying to comprehend it, then large Marge stood up from the back claiming “that’s not how this works!”. Well it is how it works, and it’s a simple as a quick google search you wouldn’t do. After arguing with me about the 13 dollars in fake tax that they desperately need, I was told to leave by a shorter but much bigger large Marge. They then followed me out to my truck trying to instigate, walked at me in an aggressive stance to the point where I had to move. Had I not moved, Marty would’ve slammed into me, giving his 6 family member watching and agitating a reason to pummel me. After that, the crew purposely blocked me from leaving ( also tried to tell the police I attempted to run them over but the police laughed because they already seen my video.) This ‘business’ tried to strong arm us for over $5,000 because they wanted us to just hand over the title to a car they’ve had possession of since August but never informed us. What they were doing was highly illegal, so once provided with that, the price went to $350. They said they scrapped 27 cars this week for $300 a car. I drove the wrecked Cadillac straight to acres auto industry in glassboro and received a $678 cash out. I would’ve gotten more, but MCS very clearly cut the catalytic converters off for scrap Stay far and clear from this scam shop, I have every bit of videos and photos to back my claims up

Our experience with MCS Auto was unacceptable. They had a vehicle in their possession since August and never notified us, despite us being the lienholder of record. Under New Jersey’s Abandoned Vehicles Law (N.J.S.A. 39:10A-1 et seq.), lienholders are required to be notified when a vehicle is taken into custody. Despite the complete lack of notification, we were told we owed thousands of dollars in storage fees. We were more than willing to pay something, just not thousands of dollars when we weren’t properly notified. When I spoke with Kelly to address this, she was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to have a professional conversation. She insisted on speaking with one specific person at our business. On one occasion that person was off, and on another she was sick. Rather than being reasonable Kelly immediately got an attitude and hung up on me. Things escalated further when one of our employees went in person to resolve the issue. He was met with hostility and aggressive behavior and pressured to hand over the vehicle’s title. That conduct was alarming and completely unprofessional. Between the failure to follow basic notification requirements, the attempt to impose excessive fees, and the hostile way this was handled, we have serious concerns about how this business operates. I would strongly recommend avoiding MCS Auto.

Marty has been our family mechanic since he took over from the previous owner. Whether it’s a ford, or a Volkswagen, he gets the job done, at a FAIR price, done right, and stands by his word (in one case quoted a price that ended up cutting his profits but he stood by it).
