A typical Delaware Bay beach. It's not too terribly crowded and plenty of beach to walk and hunt for sea glass. Found quite a bit during my visit. There's a large fishing pier, but there were too many people, so I didn't use it on this visit. The biting flies are bad this time of year, so I'd recommend wearing pants and bug spray.

Woodland Beach is a little development with a quaint beach and a fishing pier that stretches out into the Delaware River. The fishing pier is a highlight, extending into the river and providing a great vantage point for casting a line or simply enjoying the view.However, be warned that during the hot months from June to September, the strawberry flies can be quite a nuisance and might feel like they could carry you away. It's something to keep in mind when planning your visit.While it may not have the amenities of larger beach destinations, Woodland Beach's simplicity is part of its charm. It's a great place for a day trip if you appreciate nature and a laid-back environment. Just remember to bring your own supplies, as the area is quite minimalistic with no shops or services.
