I had an extremely disappointing and unsettling experience with the Rutgers University Police Department. I was pulled over by Officer last name Syed, a female officer, who claimed I “seemed a bit off”— Without any valid reason or explanation, I was approached and stopped by her while simply minding my own business. I cooperated fully and underwent three separate DUI tests, all of which I passed without issue. Despite having done nothing wrong, I felt profiled and unfairly targeted. Interactions with law enforcement should be based on clear, lawful reasoning, not vague impressions or assumptions. This experience left me feeling harassed and humiliated for no reason. Officer Syed’s conduct was unprofessional and unwarranted, and I hope Rutgers takes steps to ensure accountability and proper training moving forward. I wish I could’ve gave zero stars. 3 dui tests seriously? Pathetic.

PREJUDICE like the definition. They said something to me for walking through the parking deck. But said absolutely itching to the guy, of a lighter skin tone who’s sleeping in the back of a car with a busted window. In fact they literally walked pass him. When I called the station to get some info on it the person who answered literally couldn’t give me a logical answer as to why. Then HUNG UP.
