I drove 1 hour 27 minutes from Altoona, PA to St. Thomas after an 10.5-hour day to Dave's Auto Salvage. I'm kind of disappointed at the outcome to be honest. I called and mistakenly asked for a fender to be pulled when in reality I needed a bumper. It had been a long day when I called after work a few days before and I gave the wrong part. Look, I know they took the time to pull it but pulling a driver side fender off an 03 Toyota Corolla is not a tremendously difficult task. I paid in advance $110 and thats weird because she told me $100 and even with tax it should've only been $106.00. I got there, realized it was the wrong part and asked for a refund. Here's where I take issue. The woman charged me $39.50 for the quickly pulled part. That's ridiculous and I even offered to pay for their time but wasn't expecting this ridiculous amount especially after driving an hour and a half to patronize them after reading reviews. The woman originally threw in the foam behind the fender but I need the bumper, not the fender. I personally believe that's pretty greedy and it wasn't even run by me first in which case I would've just kept the fender and sold it elsewhere for a surplus. She just put whatever number she wanted and ran it without telling me any amount. That's shady and disappoints me. I won't be going back. Also, when I first arrived, there's no way to tell where to go inside so I walked over to the garage and the guy didnt even greet me and my pal, he just started yelling "you can't be in here, you can't be in here" and treated us like criminals when I was there to pick a part up I'd already purchased and paid for, with verification. Further, on the receipt they had that I only paid a total of $106, this is wrong as I was charged $110 and can prove it, it's only $4 however $4 adds up and I want to know where the discrepancy between their receipt and my account lies. Pay attention is all I have to say. Very unhappy with this experience. All in all, they didn't have a bumper and it was a wasted trip. Yes, the mistaken part is on me though their charging me an unspecified amount is unfair and wrong and should be told up front to the customer. Must be nice to make money on nothing. As you can see, the fender is fine and I needed to ask for the bumper. Oh well, getting the part and paying was easy, but the end result was less than stellar. Therefore, 4/5, really a 3.5/5, in my humble opinion.

Teresa and Dave are very nice to work with and answers all concerns. I needed help getting my car to them andthey didn't hesitate to help. Was given a fair price for my vehicle as well I will go back!!!!

We needed a couple parts for our 07 corolla and was referred to Dave's, great experience. Fair price, and they even set our parts out so we could pick them up on a Saturday since we had to come from Virginia. Will deal with them again.
