I Absolutely hate dealing with most of the people that work here with the exception of Derrick, Anthony, and the young man that operates the computer in the express lane. The 2 people in the scale house have horrible ATTITUDES and customer service skills the black lady and Joe....Joe had the audacity to come out today and yelled at me saying their radiation detectors were beeping in his ear...there is no sign anywhere warning customers about anything on the inside either I could have come onto the scale and potentially damaged your sensor or stopped like i did to secure my door and mind you I backed off the scale first off I have never toured the inside of the scale house to know that your alarms are beeping and hurting your ears your anger should have been towards the people you work for they should have put the alarm outside so the customer could hear it as well!!

My experience here did not warrant all the bad reviews on this place. The people I talked to were nice, especially the guard. Pull into the place and stop and talk to the guard, you might have to wait in line though. They use channel 31 on the CB for the real drivers out there that have one. Once you talk to the guard pull up on the scale and wait for further instructions. If you don't know what a CB is I don't what you do as that point. Just wing it I guess. If you are in a dry van you will prolly go to building one which is on your left sitting on the scale. Once you back in a dock you check-in inside the building behind dock three. I'm the dock they put a stop sign in front of you and chock your tires. When done they come out and move the sign, the chock and have you pull forward to put a seal on your trailer. Pull back on to the outbound scale and wait for the green light. Once you get that pull out to street, park to the side and walk all the way back to where you checked in. Get your papers and your good. I only seen outhouses for facilities which is why there are only four stars. Over all it was a good place to load and for a recycling place like this it was a fairly clean place and easy experience.

Took a friend here so he could cash in some scrap copper. It was the type that was pure copper wire (a mix of some 00 gauge braided and 12-16 gauge solid) but had the insulation burned off and therefore was gray in color (carbon/copper oxides). It felt about like 35 lbs to me and he got $102 for it as of Sep 3, 2024. We went about 11 am and, unlike the previous times I've been there there was only one person in the drive-through and it only took him maybe 10 mins to cash in his ticket. So, the whole process took maybe 20 mins tops. Often, however, there IS a line, especially at the ticket cashing window and you can easily spend an hour or more here. The employees are kinda hit and miss. Most of the time they're nice, respectful and cordial but on occasion they're rude, disrespectful and impatient. Those are the reasons for 4⭐ instead of 5. Like another reviewer said I think some of them assume people coming here are thieves or just trying to get booze/drug money. And let's be real, many if not most are. But you should still treat each person with a certain level of decency and respect regardless of what you think their "lifestyle" is. We don't necessarily know what led each person into a particular way of life and really, if you believe in a purely deterministic universe, free will doesn't exist anyway ;) Hell, even if you believe in an omnipotent creator you still must concede that some cases of poor lifestyle choices are not the fault of the chooser. Bet you never expected to get this deep into philosophy on Google Reviews, did you? P. S. It did smell like ozone in the recycling area even with large openings to the outside air. Definitely more than in the outside ambient air. It's probably from the large electric motors in there and can't be great for the employees over long periods of time. Might be time to change those brushes (but these are probably 3-phase motors without brushes) or use better ventilation. Just trying to help...
