I don't do many reviews- and I also don't use tow service often. My power steering pump blew on my way to a meeting - so I had to call someone to pick me up and just left my truck in a parking lot and had it towed, without being present. Pretty nervous about that. Randomly called this place because it was listed near where I was, and I have no preference. Got a call from the driver, he was very nice on the phone. Cool sounding dude. I told him where it was and the situation. Everything was super smooth. Updates through text. Within an hour, I got a text that my truck was picked up and delivered to my mechanic, no problem. When I got back to my truck, I was missing a large chain and my tire iron from the bed of my truck. Figured they fell out during the tow because my tailgate wasn't on at the time. Turns out, the driver actually noticed they were back there, and put them in my backseat. Saved me an easy $100 that would not have been his fault if they fell out. He went out of his way for me, so I'm doing the same for him. I called back and got his name: Devonte Wright. I've never met you in person, but I appreciate you. Thanks, man. JG Towing - you guys should take care of this guy the way he's taking care of your customers. Heaven forbid I break down again and need a tow service - but if I do, now "I've got a guy."

This was genuinely one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with a company. I understand vehicles get towed — that’s not my issue. The problem was the complete lack of communication and professionalism. Before heading over, I called twice during their posted business hours to confirm I could retrieve my vehicle and let them know I was on the way. When I arrived at the location listed, the office was closed and completely unattended. After calling again to say I was there, I was told that since it was Saturday, no one was working — despite their business hours clearly indicating they were open. It’s unreasonable to tow vehicles, list business hours, confirm by phone that someone will be there, and then have no one available when customers arrive. This caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and additional inconvenience that could have been easily avoided with accurate hours or clear communication. I strongly recommend verifying availability in writing before making the trip.

Absolute scam. Despite scanning a QR code and paying $50 to park downtown Charleston, I got towed for not putting in the correct license plate. After speaking to the women at the desk (Martika) she admitted that the system is flawed and she didn’t agree with it, but continued to charge me and extra $211. I had a receipt showing that I had just paid $50 for parking but she didn’t give a damn. As I pulled up to the lot, there were 5 tow trucks in front of me doing the same thing to other folks. When I expressed my frustration to the front desk, one of the towers came up to me and started to ask if I was intoxicated. I felt they were going to tamper with my car if I didn’t just pay the fine. All in all including an uber to deep North Charleston, I spent $300 last night on what was supposed to be a brief evening catching up with old friends. These guys are a total scam. They’re criminals that would rather see this world burn than contribute anything good to it.
