I determined that salvaged encaustic tiles were the ideal material for the hearth I was building in our 1920's catskill cottage. I hit the 8x8 tiles I bought with 60 grit paper with a random orbital sander, and used a quality stone sealer on top. I am so happy I came here - it's worth the trip just to take a look at all the beautiful inventory.

UPDATE!!! After about a year Amighini is still providing the best after sale service. I’ve had minor issues with the doors but their best guy Mariano always shows up within the week to investigate.<br><br>Noelia and her team over at Amighini architectural did an AMAZING job with my buildings new doors. I was very happy from the customer service to the attention to detail in their work. They kept me in the loop every step of the way and even coordinated with our intercom vendors who were also working on the doors at the same time. I have to give a shout out to Mariano who was in charge of installation. I said it before but his attention to detail was truly outstanding. You can tell he really cares about the product that is delivered.Don’t get me wrong, the project came with a heavy price tag, but I personally think that the work speaks for itself.
