I brought a head there to get checked for a crack, picking it up I was told no cracks head is straight BUT, I was told the valves were leaking and needed a valve job to the tune of $800-$1000, I said no I just want to get our 2nd vehicle back on the road, he said it won’t run with this head. I filled the inner valve cavity on both intake n exhaust valves 27 hrs ago ,put clean cardboard under the head and just checked, zero oil escaped through the valve/head mating surface! Unless I missed some something here, my head is fine! And a very pricey crack test $297.00 I was quoted $100 at another shop but they insisted on stripping it down n going through it, I went elsewhere and still got the short end!! No way to draw new customers, my shop closed Acurate Machine shop Middletown, they were always 100% kinda disappointed in this shop!
