I asked for a 6 puck clutch young man said he will order it and instead ordered me a 4 puck clutch NOT what I asked for. Very upset. Asked for a light weight flywheel ORDERED ME A BASIC CLUTCH. again not what I asked for. Needs to get what customers ask for and not order what he wants or thinks is better I asked for something specific and I’m the paying customer you can’t just order what you think it’s best because YOU say so or think it’s better. NOT GOOD SERVICE AT ALL.

I conducted an online search for a brake caliper rebuilding service in the New Haven area. My brake calipers from an '83 BMW 320i are not available as rebuilds anywhere. There are multiple services on the west coast but they require shipping cores and paying exhorbitant shipping and handling fees for the rebuilds. I had already purchased new seals as I had originally planned on rebuilding myself. My google search turned up Norkor on State Street in New Haven. I was surprised I had never heard of them as I have been repairing my own vehicles for the past 35 years in the area. All reviews were amazing saying the people are friendly and helpful. With so many excellent reviews I had to wonder if they weren't just getting their friends and family to pump up the stars. I called them to see if they could help me on a Monday morning. The bookkeeper answered the phone and was, indeed, very friendly and professional. First they looked to see if they could source rebuilds but confirmed no availability. They asked for me to bring them down to look over which I did that day. When I got there I met Matt who was also friendly and professional. He took the calipers and promised rebuilds by the end of the week. I told him no hurry. Two days later (Wednesday) Matt called me to let me know the calipers were complete. I picked them up and they look great, cost was reasonable and my confidence level is much higher than if I had purchased from a parts place. I met John, the owner, who was also super friendly and professional. I also learned they rebuild alternators and starters which is very rare these days. I am so happy I found this business and sorry I didn't know of them years ago! I highly recommend Norkor for anyone who maintains their own vehicles.
