ZERO STARS!! THIS PLACE IS CROOKED!!! TOWED MY CAR 3 MILES FOR $300. I told them WHAT?! You guys charge $100 per mile?! I was in an auto wreck and Suffield PD used these guys to tow my car even though I had AAA. Well sucks for me because the accident happened on a Friday and they charged me a ridiculous garage/storage fee until Monday. Car was totaled and they tried to extort me for more and more money. Years later I'm finding out Doane's never communicated properly or even returned my plates! I had contemplated AAA towing the wrecked car (body damage total) back to my house from Doane's keep it as a parts car to help my sister who had the same car as me; but the bill they handed me was over $600 worth of storage and towing fees. This place was horrid. The cops gave me no choice to even push my car to a safe location so I could use my AAA instead of these crooks. I started calling junkyards around the area to see if it was worth it to sell to junkyard opposed to selling the salvaged vehicle to Doane's where I immediately was informed that an hour after the car wreck Doane's had already called around without even communicating with me rubbing their greedy hands together to get top dollar for my low mileage body damaged car!! The woman at the front desk wouldn't even take $50 less for the headache when it was all the money I had pulled together even though her husband might have had the smallest smidgen of empathy for my situation and their unfair treatment towards me. Year three later and I'm finding out through the town and DMV that Doane's lied about salvaging my vehicle and now owe all these taxes and fees due to their lack of processing! It's a massive headache that could have been avoided- now I don't only have to pay the amount Doane's took advantage of but am still paying to this day for their unethical behavior in dealing with paperwork for my salvaged vehicle! Beware big time- they must have some deal with the local police department kickback best tow around huh?!
