I work with tow truck company’s daily because my job requires that. & I will say this place is very unprofessional & gives scam vibes. The company I work for received a letter in the mail that a vehicle we had a lien on was picked up (mind you when this happens, they have to notify us). Normal routine is for us to contact the tow yard, get the amount owed to get it out, then proceed to contact the customer about what their next steps were as far as if they are going to get it or abandon it. So we reach out and speak with some woman, she informs us that she can’t tell us over the phone the amount to get it out without verifying who we are? Which already is super unusual because we’re calling from a company phone and on behalf of the letter we were sent from THEM. So we ask if we can send some copies of the contract and documents, as well as our personal IDs AND BUSINESS cards in an email, they agree that would work an that it would be a “quick response”. We email all that info to them from a COMPANY EMAIL & hear nothing the rest of the day. Again this is giving “we’re trying to rack up more daily fees as long as we can” vibes. Scam. The NEXT day, still no response until almost noon, telling us “sorry this doesn’t qualify as verification”. Excuse me what? We are literally trying to get you paid and get the vehicle back for our customer and your holding the amount due hostage to try and keep racking up fees. So again they say it’s gotta be “verified” so after 3 days of this, I finally drive over there with the contract and all the documents, still for the guy to tell me “how can you verify this?” As I’m standing with a contract in my hand?? Dude takes a copy of my ID, mind you this is ALL for a total to get this car back. After leaving and getting back to the place of business the actual owner of the car comes in because we’re going to help him get the car back an tells us the guy tried telling him a price that was 300$ OVER the invoice he just made me physically come get. Our customer said he was in tears begging for a smaller amount considering over $1000 is crazy, especially because 3 of those days was spent just trying to get a total. I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service & it’s VERY clear these guys are itching for as much as they can squeeze out of you or to just take the car for themselves. Watch out. I will be reporting this to the BBB as well. Stay blessed.
