My friend pulled into Huck’s around 9pm and seen an older couple stranded with 2 flat tires. She asked if they were ok and they said they weren’t from here and just got off the highway. My friend made some calls and found them 2 tires free of charge just to help out. We called Vernells and Jeremy came, very fast service! Thanks Jeremy, we appreciate your kindness and your professionalism! Highly recommend Vernells!!!

I had a great experience here. I'm not from Illinois and ended up with a flat tire in the evening after everything had closed up. We were recommended Vernell's by another place we had stopped at who'd attempted (unsuccessfully) with all they could to help us. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated with kindness, as if we were just friends needing help. I've never had such a wonderful experience with a mechanic shop. Nate, Dakota, and Mikey genuinely seemed to care about the situation. They helped us quickly and we left feeling relieved. I made it home safely because of these people and cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend Vernell's to anyone in the area and I now know exactly where to go if I need help again!

I can’t say enough good things about Nate and his crew. My friend (from out of state) and myself (from out of town) showed up unexpectedly last night with a flat tire, and from the moment we walked in, we were met with nothing but warmth and compassion. Nate, Mikey and Dakota didn’t make us feel like a burden at all, just like people who needed help. What could’ve been a really stressful moment turned into a lovely and positive experience because of how welcoming and instantly willing to help they were (unlike the boss on duty at the Love’s Speedco that night. Shoutout to the employee who tried his damndest to help, as well, but didn’t have the tools.) It’s rare to leave a mechanic feeling grateful instead of frazzled. I know where to go next time I’m in the area and need help, and will be telling all my friends about Vernell’s. Highly recommend. Thank you again, guys. It means so much to know there is still kindness in the world. ❤️
