The McHenry store is wonderful! Adam and David are amazing, service and staff is amazing. My only complaint is the Firestone credit card and their customer service. They are horrible!! I never received my card or my statement. When I called them asking the status they hung up on me…3 times! I was not rude, not yelling or using cuss words. Just asking questions. They charged me a late fee even though I hadn’t received my card or statement and when I asked them to remove it as a courtesy they refused. When I finally talked to somebody willing to help me, we found they had my name spelled wrong and address wrong. They sent me a new card and when I went online to activate my account, it wouldn’t go through. I spoke to both Adam and David at the store who were very apologetic and helpful but unfortunately they have no control over the finance company. I highly recommend the McHenry Firestone store but avoid financing anything with the Firestone credit card.

Adam went above and beyond to help me when I was traveling for work and needed my car inspected early. I suspected a nail in a tire and had to leave at 4am on Wednesday. He listened carefully, took action, and even ordered a new tire to be brought in the next day just in case the issue wasn’t a patch job. He completed the patch and rotated my tires within 6 hours, despite a short staff. I’m incredibly thankful and grateful for his help—thanks to him I could get home safely. Highly recommend his service to anyone in need of reliable, thoughtful, and fast automotive care.

Shows they do transmission work but when asked in person, They say they do not and then refer you to a shop in island lake. Had a few people I know have this happen to them and the shop they refer you to ends up saying you need a transmission rebuild everytime. They tried this with me,I knew it was a sensor and refused the rebuild and have over 4k miles so far on the transmission that they said needed a rebuild. Light comes on and off due to needing a new sensor but no rough or missed shifts. Beware when listening to referrals for transmission work from this place, especially if they are trying to refer you to a shop in island lake.
