Hands down, one of the best scrapyards I've ever dealt with. The payouts are top-notch — fair, consistent, and honestly better than most places around. But what really sets this place apart is the customer service. Everyone is friendly, efficient, and professional. Big shout out to Jill — she went above and beyond to make the process smooth and hassle-free. Super knowledgeable and genuinely cares about the customers. You don’t get that kind of service everywhere. If you’re looking to get the most for your scrap and be treated right, this is the place. Highly recommended!

My gutter contractor told me to go to Nichols, as that is where he goes to sell The used copper gutters that he salvages from the jobs he does. He told me they pay $3.40/lbs dirty copper gutters and $3.65 for cleaned and shiny copper gutters. I called Nichols to confirm this price which they did. I drove out from New Haven to Clinton and when I got there, they were going to give me $1.60 per pound. They are a bait and switch operation. Stay away from this place. I called several other places after this and sold my copper gutters for $3.45/lb.
