I wish I can give this place a 6 stars! I came in to have my transmission checked all these time I thought the bad and hard shifting were coming from the transmission and after Ramon diagnosed it, turned out to be the just engine needed couple of ignition coils and new spark plugs it’s basically just needed a tune up, saved me a lot of money!! Ramon and Fatima were very accommodating and very honest, and pricing are extremely reasonable. I greatly appreciate the HONESTY Ramon showed very experienced and very knowledgeable mechanic! Thumbs up!!! Highly recommended!!

I am owner of 2015 Forrester with 79 k miles and dreaded CVT transmission. Subaru dealership quoted high price, refusing to do step by step diagnostic but wanted only to do whole transmission replacement. Subaru of America refused to help. Me and Daughter were sad and did not want to part ways with car as we bought it new, put new tires, brakes etc.. We searched independent shops and found Gears for years. We saw they had hundreds of 5 stars and excellent reviews where Gears helped many people to keep their cars We spoke multiple times with Fatima and Sandy.They are Mr.Ramon's daughters.He is owner and very experienced master mechanic with 30 years of experience. Everybody was very nice and professional. Mr. RAMON IS VERY HONEST AND GOOD MAN. Long story short, he replaced whole transmission in 2 days !!!! He explained everything and gave us good price so we were able to repair the car instead of losing it! We are very happy and became life long customers. I could go on and on but you got the picture. When You pass the Hillcrest nursing home,take first uphill drive on the left if you coming from the Rollins, and drive to the end.There is an entrance door.It is easy to find but little hidden gem!!!?

Moved from Florida to Wisconsin a few weeks ago. Experienced transmission problems and didn’t have any contacts immediately on hand. After a few days of looking at different places visited this transmission shop and upon arriving, the atmosphere quickly became evident this was the place to be. Ramon and his wife and daughter are so friendly and welcoming. They quickly in minutes arranged for everything to work out for me. The estimate didn’t hardly change and in addition to it Ramon went above and beyond to insure that everything would be mechanically done for a preventative solution. I recommend that anyone needing transmission work or any other auto repair contact this family oriented shop. Now I have a place to go when any future repairs are needed thanks to Ramon’s work ethics and honest principles. ???
