Extremely negative experience with Davis Towing & Tire. After my trailer became detached, the police arrived and called this company. The crew moved my trailer approximately 50 feet, after which I was expected to hook it back up to my truck myself. I was charged $1,500 for this service. I expressed that the amount seemed excessive for the work performed, but the staff began threatening to tow my trailer away if I refused to pay. Under pressure, I had no choice but to pay the full amount. After they left, I realized the trailer had been set too low, making it physically impossible for me to hook it up. I contacted the company again, and when the driver returned, he behaved in a very rude and unprofessional manner. I believe the charges were significantly inflated and plan to pursue this matter legally. I strongly advise others to think carefully before using this company’s services.

On the day of the incident, there was a serious traffic accident (not caused by me) that resulted in over two hours of traffic delay. During that time, my truck ran out of diesel. When the police arrived, they contacted Davis Towing & Tire before I had the chance to call another company. Davis Towing & Tire towed my truck approximately 3 miles and charged me $963. The price was only revealed after the tow was completed. The driver then demanded cash payment and threatened to take my truck away if I did not pay within 5 minutes. I felt pressured, intimidated, and taken advantage of during an already stressful situation. Other towing companies quoted around $450 for the same distance. I believe this company’s behavior was unethical and exploitative. I am submitting this complaint to make others aware and to request a review of their pricing and business practices.
