I took my 1999 Civic hatchback to Shorty's Auto for a B20 + Type R engine swap a few months ago. I was working across the street at the Honda Dealership and took it to Shorty's because Honda (despite being an employee) would under no circumstances allow an engine conversion / heavily modified engine swap. I spoke with the owner "Shorty" firsthand, who treated me absolutely great through the entire process. Everyone who worked there pitched in a hand to help out. I got a call the day the engine swap was done and everyone was anxiously waiting for me to arrive to start the car up. They all had their phones on hand to take a video of my reaction which was damn priceless and nearly in tears. Out of pure joy and happiness I gave shorty a hug which they thought was hilarious. They really did an absolutely amazing job on my swap and didn't charge me extra storage fees, hidden fees, extra shop labor, or anything other than the price Shorty and I discussed when we originally spoke in person. I can't thank them enough for making my dream build come to life. It was an absolute monster. Everyone who worked there was super super friendly, and pitched in to help out, one way or another, either to unload the truck with my parts, to getting the engine out and the new one in--- it was really great to have met these guys, and i couldnt have asked for a better job. Its one big family there, which is the way all shops should be They even went the extra mile and degreased my transmission and power washed my engine bay without me even asking for that favor- that alone shows how Shorty really prides his work and wants to make his customers want to come back, and i will! I uploaded some photos of the swap, as a testament to their great work.

I came here in 2021 to have an issue looked at and fixed on my 2017 Ford focus hatch. Bad purge valve which was very common apparently with fords. They took it in that morning and were able to have it ready that afternoon. Not a problem since. I am returning with another Ford car to have a similar error code (engine light on) resolved for this purge valve. A friend was able to lend an OB2 code reader so we wouldn't have to go through the run around. I'm returning because of my good first experience with them. Relatively quick, nice service, didn't try to sell me on anything else, and gave me a choice on cost options. Will update on second visit.

Took my suburban for break problems and the guys were able to figure out the issue in about 5mins. What took the dealer a week and still couldn't pinpoint the problem. My go to mechanic from now on.
