Oh boy, was this a swell experience. I came in wanting new wiper blades and was met with the most helpful smile in any aisle - a man by the name “King Julian.” Not only did he help me find the appropriate wiper blades, he also personally installed them despite the cold, dreary weather and the police helicopter soaring overheard during the Granite City Manhunt of the century. One might generally feel unsafe with the dozens of cop cars speeding past every few minutes, but not I, for I had my own personal security. Thank you, Cotton’s Ace Hardware, this will not be an experience I soon forget.

Went in to buy standard drywall screws and only had 2 sizes. I was looking for a simple #8 x 2" and they didn't have them. In fact most of the drywall screw shelves were empty. There's a reason why places like this are going out of business. They are mainly supported by the older generation, are extremely expensive to shop in, and have a smaller selection of items. I get it, and understand the reasons behind these three things but I also know that their days are numbered because of these reasons.

Walked in to grab a couple piece of lumber to repair my deck only to find 3 piles of dog poop and a puddle of dog pee. Stores been open for a few hours several employees walked past. Absolutely disgusting. Employee caught a attitude when the customer mentioned its disgusting to have dog excrement on the floor.
