I almost never write reviews, but this experience absolutely deserves one. I just retrieved my car from Topgun, and the level of mistreatment I experienced was OUTRAGEOUS. My vehicle was towed in the afternoon from a location where I had parked for the first time, unaware that public parking was prohibited. Starting at 5:30 pm., following instructions from the local police, I repeatedly called this so-called “company” to confirm whether they had my car. I called dozens of times and only ever reached an answering machine. Despite leaving a message, I was never called back. I had no choice but to take an Uber to their location without even knowing for sure whether my car was there. I arrived only 13 minutes after their office hours ended. I was immediately told I would be charged $350 for picking up my car “after hours.” I asked to speak with the manager, who was nearby (everything happened on the street, not even in an office), to explain why I arrived just minutes after 6 pm., ask that the regular rate be honored, and clarify that this was the first time my car had ever been towed. He was rude, dismissive, and completely inflexible, and told me I had to pay if I wanted my car back. As if that weren’t enough, when he saw that the vehicle registration was under my husband’s name, he said that my husband had to retrieve the car in person (we live 40 minutes away!!), despite the fact that my name appears on the car insurance and matches my driver’s license. He remained rude and uncooperative, and only relented after demanding to speak with my husband by phone and requesting an authorization email before releasing our vehicle. What upset me most is not the towing situation itself, but the terrible phone service, the extra charge due to their own INEFFICIENCY, and the deeply CONDESCENDING and DISRESPECTFUL treatment throughout the entire process. This company takes advantage of people!! Avoid them at all costs!!

Complete scam. Towed my wife out of a parking spot she pays $150 a month for. Couldn’t tell her why other than that it was a “private tow”. Conveniently no documentation for who called it in or what rule was broken (because there was no reason). Initially when my wife called they said they didn’t have her car, so she had to go file at the police station thinking it was stolen. Police tells her Top Gun does have it. Once the police called they conveniently remembered they had the vehicle. This all happened over a snowy/icy weekend when they knew people probably wouldn’t be driving and they could rack up fees in their lot by the time anyone realized it was missing. Over half a week’s paycheck down the drain to these pathetic dredges of humanity.

Being towed is a miserable experience, but I have to admit I did not experience any of the issues the other reviewers pointed out. I got dropped off at the Dell ave location 30 minutes before they opened for pickups on a Sunday during a snow storm on a holiday weekend. I didn’t even know if my car was there; I just took a guess. The employee on site let me wait inside while he salted the side walk then found my car and processed my pickup 20 minutes early. Based off other reviews I came prepared with cash, but was surprised to be offered the option to pay with a card. I was issued a receipt and was on my way before they even opened.
