I love it here. I’ve always been stressed about going to mechanics. I’m a woman who knows nothing about cars and I’ve been ripped off a few times so going to a mechanic by myself is nauseating. Not at Otto’s though. First time they looked at my car and said it was a small fix and they didn’t charge me anything. I had an immediate sense of peace, like I was dealing with family. I’ve been going to Otto’s for over a decade. I send everyone here. They’re amazing.

These guys are fantastic! Another shop did some work on one of my child’s cars - and they were hacks. Brought it here, they were totally straight with me on the issues, and the repairs were reasonable. I won’t be taking my cars anywhere else.

Beware I had my child’s car inspected there two months ago. I’ve never driven my child’s car. These people passed the car’s inspection. I also asked for an oil change for which I paid for. Fast forward to last week. My child’s car all the sudden was prevented from starting by the immobilizer. Which was divine intervention in my opinion. Meaning he could not drive the car I had it taken to the dealer to assess what the issue was and get it fixed. I get a phone call from the dealer who is extremely alarmed. Apparently my child’s brakes were basically ineffective. It was explained to me that in order to stop the vehicle you had to put the pedal on the ground. That the brakes were absolutely failed. Broken. Had my child gone onto a highway with this vehicle he could’ve been dead. The brakes would’ve failed. He would’ve not been able to stop to prevent a collision at a high rate of speed. The mechanic at the dealership said that had Otto’s automotive actually driven the car. This would’ve been immediately clear to them. This means that autos never started the car and put it into the garage to even change the oil. Otherwise they would’ve discovered the failed brakes. So I paid for an oil change and a safety inspection for which neither were done. The dealership check the oil and the oil had never been changed. Many of us trust these places to do the work we pay them for. We don’t go and check the work after. We don’t look at the oil we don’t look at the parts that were replaced. We don’t see evidence that parts were replaced. We just pay for it and drive away and continue on with our lives. This incident could’ve cost my child their life. I am so grateful that the safety device the immobilizer on my child’s car prevented the car from being driven. I really see that is divine intervention. While it’s not 0TTO‘s fault that the brakes were essentially completely broken. They should have found this during the inspection, had they actually driven the car. Do not trust these people.
