I've been living in this area for a little over a year and was looking for a garage close to home with fair pricing. I am glad I came across Penn Forest Garage. I made an appointment to get my car inspected and an oil change and I am happy with the service provided. When I encounter any other issues with my car, I will gladly bring it back to them for service.

Let me start by saying this is not a reflection on Dan. I dealt with him on other occasions and I liked him, very nice guy. My problem is with the individual I dealt with this past Nov. It started with my inspection. I knew I may need something because I haven’t the last couple years and I did , brakes was the problem this year, not surprised by that but I was at the price but needing them done I agreed and also asked if they could fix a piece for my rear taillight connection since they had to replace the bulb and the clip was broken, that was never addressed. Then I was told I may need my trans lines replaced soon because there was a little leak so I asked for a quote for that as well. When I went to get my vehicle I asked about the quote but was told he needed to research it further. After getting home and looking at the invoice I saw that the prices I was charged seemed to be more then double of what I could have paid for the brakes and rotors and they seemed to be the Premium which would mean more $. Mind you if it wasn’t for my fiancée saying get it done I would have went somewhere else. Hell if I had heat in my garage I could have done the work myself. Anyway. I noticed there was nothing for the connection I asked about but I wasn’t about to ask them at this point. Then I waited and waited and waited for him to call me with a quote for the trans lines but that never happened. I had to call them back after two months and then wait for them to call me with another outrageous quote for that. I called a couple other shops ( well known not some hole in the wall places) and both gave me a quote of about half of what he had quoted me! At that point I knew I would never use this shop again. The man was very unprofessional and I believe he thinks about nothing other then how much money he can milk out of a customer. I really wish Dan would have been there because I believe there would have been a different outcome and he wouldn’t have lost a few customers over this. I say few because I will deter anyone from using them if I can and we have more then one vehicle. Just a little more info: The price Chuck gave me for my transmission lines was more then double what I paid at another reputable garage.
