This store/business is incredible! I’ve gone here for paint, and tools, and more, for years. They have everything you need! Whether it’s paint, tools, plumbing supplies, pool supplies, etc. Arey Building Supply has it all plus lots of other great items! It’s like Lowe’s, tractor supply, and Home Depot, all rolled into one business.

Decent place and prices, but WATCH YOUR ACCOUNTS WHEN DOING CARD PURCHASES! Their system double charges and they won’t take the time to figure out why…

Ah yes, Arey Building Supply—where your U-Haul reservation is more of a suggestion than an actual plan. I reserved a 10’ U-Haul truck online to be picked up at 9:00 AM on 5/28/25. I showed up on time, walked into the main building, and was greeted by three very polite and friendly cashiers who—despite their kindness—immediately told me they couldn’t help with U-Haul rentals. Apparently, that sacred duty is reserved for one particular woman, who wasn't even in uniform, but who apparently moonlights as the Queen of U-Haul Rentals. I explained I had already done the work online—you know, that thing where you input all your info to save time. Naturally, she ignored that entirely and restarted the process from scratch, as if the concept of digital reservation was some arcane sorcery. She asked me all the same questions again, then tried to upsell me U-Haul’s optional insurance. I very clearly declined it. I mean, I heard myself say no. But lo and behold, when the receipt came through, there it was—added anyway, because what’s a rental without a little unauthorized charge to spice things up? I decided to let that one go to avoid the inevitable headache. Big mistake. On 5/29/25, I returned the truck before 9 AM—like a responsible adult— I even took a timestamped photo of the odometer at 8:55 AM because, at this point, I had a gut feeling something was going to go sideways. I handed the keys to a gentleman wearing an Army hat (thank you for your service, by the way), and spoke again to Queen U-Haul herself, who told me I was good to go and that my receipt would be emailed. Great! Done! Right? Wrong. Hours later, I found out they charged me for an extra day because apparently the woman didn’t waltz back to her computer until 9:17 AM. Yes, because her delay in paperwork is somehow my financial responsibility. Brilliant. When I called her out on this obvious padding of the bill, she gaslit me with the grace of a seasoned pro—insisting I was confused, misinformed, or just too dumb to read an invoice. Spoiler alert: I’m not. What I don’t understand is how it’s acceptable to ignore a reservation, charge for services not agreed to, and then pass off your own delay as the customer’s fault. Look, the cashiers were kind, and the short time I spent there suggests there are good people on staff. but the U-Haul operation is a disorganized circus, with one ringmaster who desperately needs help, a clock she can read, and a refresher course on consent before charging people. If you enjoy being overcharged, ignored, and talked down to while giving your money away, this is the place for you. Otherwise, rent your truck from literally anywhere else.
