Waited 35 minutes after paying for 24 balloons. When we asked about it, the response was, “We’ll be quicker next time,” in a mocking and disrespectful tone. Zero accountability. On our way out, we told the manager how unprofessional it was. But they messed up and gave us an extra balloon we didn’t even pay for, so we had to go back inside. That’s when we overheard the manager laughing with three employees saying, “You see all kinds of people here. I’ve been in this business too long and sometimes you just lose your patience.” They didn’t realize we were standing right there. The wait was bad enough. The arrogance and making fun of customers? Even worse. If this is the level of service at Michaels Secaucus, good luck keeping customers.

This is my hometown Micheal’s I visited after 6 years. A Barbara initially helped me out but seemed reluctant to do so. I saw her help another customer and she was pretty reluctant with them as well and she seemed happy to tell them they placed their order at the wrong location. I expect that behavior from a teenager not someone who’s well passed menopause. HOWEVER, I was helped my Jeanette after and they were wonderful! They made up for my inconvenience with the initial worker. Store itself is great, it’s the employees that really add to the nature of the experience.
