I’ve been to many haunted walks including commercial ones upstate near Sleepy Hollow. This one was better, more authentic. They didn’t skimp on the details or props. The themes were fully developed and I screamed throughout which I haven’t done in a while. Just be careful because the experience is interactive so there is bending, uneven ground, spinning bright lights that activated my vertigo and wasn’t the easiest for my bad knee. The staff was really accommodating though. Two people came out of character to help me. The actors do touch you too. Bravo to this community for making this so authentic and worth the money. I know Frightfest is going to be a letdown for my kids next week after this.

So fun and well designed experience! Shout out to the sweet gentleman working at the gift shop - he has volunteered for the past 5 years. His kindness on top of an already incredible night left an amazing impression! How nice it is to have passionate, caring people spending their time bringing joy to folks! I think his name was Jim if I'm remembering correctly!

Normally, I don’t go out of my way to write reviews like this. I get that scare actors are supposed to mess with you and maybe have a little physical interaction, but this year felt a bit excessive on that front. There wasn’t any waiver or disclaimer when we came in, we just bought a ticket and walked in. What really crossed the line was a comment from an actor in the pig butcher room about my family member’s physical appearance, it just wasn’t appropriate. I tried to reach the office but couldn’t get through, so I'm posting this publicly so others are aware.
