A beautiful and historic place to visit! While it is a pretty quick walk around 1-2 hours max. There is still a bit to see. You are able to walk to the beach from there as well! For $10 a ticket unless you're military, etc.. it is a great price! The visitors center has a lot of the history of the Fort. We did not get to go to Fort Sumter this time around, however the next time we visit, that will be the stop!

Great fort an amazing trip back into time, especially in the underground stations where it's like a time capsule. Plenty of large cannons in and out of the fort and after you're done with the fort you can go to the shore right in front. Definitely visit

Very nice national park with gave of Osceola adjacent. The park is an impressive layout of military defense that served well from the late 1700s when it was first built from Palmetto logs up into the 1800s when Ft Sumpter was built. I think appreciation of sites like this is improved when we imagine the men and women who had to endure the lifestyles and challenges of the time period. Definitely worth wandering through if you are in the area.
