They close early all the time. If you have a strict work schedule, you’re going to have to pick and choose your days. Additionally, there is no monitoring of the lanes. The “trash only” lanes stacks up fast with people walking across the lot to the recycle bins.

I was so pleased when the Princeton Daily Clarion published an article letting residents know how much money recycling brought in; therefore, helping defray expenses. There is a little building near the compacter where an operator can assist those with questions or who will help those who have trouble unloading items. If you're only bringing in trash & garbage it's easier to use the far right lane to access the compacter so you don't block those who are bringing in recyclables & need to use the left lanes. Just beyond the compacter is an area for old used oil. You may need to consult the attendant as to how this should be done. As you enter on the left there are 2 dumpsters sitting side-by-side. The 1st is for glass bottles, jars, etc. No Plate Glass. The other is for aluminum cans. I believe there's a section next to the building for fluorescent light bulbs. Cardboard is next & needs to be put inside the building. No Pizza Boxes. Next is a dumpster for other metals, followed by the dumpster for #1 & #2 plastic. [I wish they were set up to recycle other plastics as well; but, unfortunately, it is put in with the regular trash & garbage.] The last dumpster on the left is for newspapers & magazines. This site takes old electronics; however, there is a small fee for disposing of TVs. I frequently use this site & am pleased it's so convenient. Wish our curbside trash service was set up for recycling as well; but, it isn't & with that said, I'm still glad we aren't just throwing everything in together any longer.

Had a real positive experience here. Employee was very helpful, and although he couldn’t help me unload the TV, I was able to find a kind random person who could. Glad they don’t make huge, heavy TV’s like this any more. He also measured the TV to make sure I didn’t overpay for the recycling of it. Make sure to bring cash if you have a tv or monitor to recycle. (See above photo which was taken in August of 2020 - and if in doubt you could call them too). I love the hours - makes it so you don’t have to take time off work to go to the facility. I also took a photo so you can see all the things they accept here besides the normal recyclables.
