More materials accepted than what the rest of the county offers (particularly #5 plastic + compost), but plenty of room for improvement. Recommend visiting in person the first time to become acquainted and see what specifically is and is not accepted... not all information online from University Facilities is accurate (as of this post), e.g. not every type/kind of plastic is accepted that the website suggests. Be aware of closures on Mon and Fri around home games during football season.

Location is easy to get to and clean. The bins are well labeled so I know exactly what goes where. It makes recycling in Clemson easier!

For all of the reviews saying we close at random times and without warning, I will say Clemson's website is atrocious. We do not have the ability to change it on our own when needed. We close only when absolutely necessary for equipment failures (sorry those do occur randomly) and for safety during football season Friday before home games and Monday after home games. Students will drive far too fast in our drop off area and have caused safety issues in the past. For anything else sorry there are only 5 of us working our butts off everyday going through thousands of pounds of material. You want us to be open more often then come and volunteer. Also with the city of Clemson ending their recycling pick up please realize the volume of material kite Hill receives is about 3-4x what it used to receive.
