Scammers. They show promotions on the price tags but when you get the cashier they are not applied. The clerk in the self service made me scan and add my phone number twice just to come up with it isn’t applicable anymore. Be aware you will find the items you need for way less in the target store in the same mall.

I've shopped at the Acme in Hoboken for decades, and it's been fine (although you do have to check expiration dates on things). This is about the Acme on 18th St. in JC. I placed an order for delivery yesterday on the app. This morning, right on time, two women who work for Doordash delivered my order. I immediately saw that two bags were clearly for someone else (although my name was on them), and that a LOT of what I'D ordered wasn't there. I called the store to ask what had happened. The delivery women were concerned too, and they waited while I spoke to someone at Acme in J.C., who pretty much immediately told me that the delivery people had probaby "messed with" (read: stolen from) the bags. That was obviously not true--labels with my name and a barcode were on all the bags, and that was obviously done by Acme. The person I spoke to eventually said that they'd re-shop my order at some point today, but wouldn't give me an idea as to when I'd get it. In the meantime, I had a really pleasant conversation with the two women--they were great, and clearly not dog treat and yogurt thieves. Later I called Customer Service for the whole chain, and was told that they were very sorry, etc. Shortly after that, ANOTHER Doordash driver arrived with 2 bags of dog treats--none of the rest of my stuff. So I called the J.C. store and spoke to the manager. He was all apologies and declarations about how they respect their customers and the delivery people, blah blah blah. Shortly after that the rest of my order arrived--he'd told me that his employee hadn't realized that the rest of my order had been in the fridge there! There was still one item missing, making it 3 screw-ups in total. The two women who originally made the partial delivery were worried that they would lose their jobs with Doordash, so I gave them my number in case they needed me to back them up. When I texted them to tell them that I'd spoken to the manager and he'd been apologetic, they told me that he himself, along with the employees who'd now screwed up twice, had been sarcastic and nasty to them when they went back to the store to say that they shouldn't have been accused. They were told that delivery drivers usually steal things from orders, etc., and treated like thieves. I called the manager back and told him that he was a hypocrite (he admitted to me that they'd said those things to the women, but tried to make it sound like no big deal). I also asked him if it was a racial thing (the delivery people were Black), and he of course denied it. (I can't be sure that was an issue, so I could be wrong, but I have a feeling...) So the store is apparently run by people who can't get much right, and who are obviously not "managed" well--yet they all tried to blame two women trying to make ends meet by delivering groceries in the cold for peanuts. I have no patience for that garbage. I'll still probably go to the Hoboken Acme to pick things up, but I won't order from them again. They are apparently incompetent bullies over there, at least at the J.C. store, and there are plenty of other places that deliver.

They don’t allow customers to use their restrooms and they lock them up and only allow specific customers to use it I guess. Can’t believe this service these days in such a big supermarket. Their staff is kind of discriminated and decide who can use their restrooms. Will never shop here in the future.
