I had just purchased a used Toyota 4Runner, and the air conditioner didn't blow cold air. I took it to Brannon's, they checked the car out and told me the air conditioner system was full of freon and that something else was wrong. They said it was some component that was located behind the dash of the car, and in order to replace it they had to remove the dash itself. They also said the part could only be purchased through toyota, and the cost of the piece itself was $900, not including labor. They charged $65.00 for checking the car. I went back home and waited a couple of weeks and did not hear from them, so I called back and they had not ordered the part, and wanted me to bring the car back so they could get the serial number. Something just didn't sound right, so I took the car to a different mechanic in Westville. He checked the air conditioner system and said it had NO freon in it. He replaced the freon and put some oil in the compressor itself, and the air conditioner blew cold air then just fine, and has continued to work perfectly for the past 2 months since then. And, he only charged a total of $50 for his services! I will never recommend Brannon's to anyone.
