Last night I was the first time I used salvage yard services. I didn't know who to turn to, so I Googled it and found Critchfield Salvag. They were AMAZING. My dad forgot his house key in the vehicle, and they came back to the shop to help us. We got a good deal on the vehicle and great customer service.

Pretty happy with them. It is better if you sort your load out ahead of time if possible. Took a few minutes to chase down a guy to weigh brass and copper loads after I consolidated the loads on site at the quonset hut. The guys in the yard are decent to work with and the lady in the office was pleasant. Everything seemed reasonably fair in terms of payout.

Only salvage yard I called out of 7 from Waterloo, Independence and Rowley that had the part I needed for car without having to spend half my check for it, and it was off vehicle ready for me when I got there. Took 3 mins to go in get it and pay. I'll call them again if I was to need any parts.

Went for Dodge parts, but came back with nothing. Main guy who answers phone and tells other guys what to do doesn't even know what he has. Have been through the yard several times. When asked if he had a few certain parts(I had taken photos of them on my last trip) he says "Nope, don't have anything like that" instantly and doesn't even attempt to look for the parts. Has a impressive lot but doesn't care about actual salvage sales much at all. Dougs 4-Wheelers in Pella might be more expensive but at least they will go out for the smallest part...

Good Guys to deal with and Good parts .

Great prices on new aftermarket and used allis chalmers tractor parts. Been dealing with Bill Deppe for quite a few years now and I have all ways been treated fairly wouldn't look elsewhere for parts .

They responded quickly to my call and gave me cash for my junk car the same day. Friendly and quick, highly recommend!

Use a ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT. Hit a patch of ice, and slid in the ditch and unfortunately had to use these thieves. Told me it would be a certain price and and they would get right on it. I also asked to let me know when they picked it up so I could pay them when they got it to the shop. Not only did they pick the truck up over eight hours later, but they charged me over $100 more than the price I was told AND charged it to the shop as to where I was forced to pay it. When I called to ask what was the reasoning was behind this, I was told I would get a call back explaining and never heard anything back. Beware. Absolutterrible
