Alpine towing took what should've ruined my weekend and probably rolled my truck and turned it into an impressive rescue/recovery, leaving zero damage and making me realize anybody less qualified would've sent me off the edge. While towing can be a frustrating experience and sometimes the pricing and setup can be confusing, in my case Alpine did a great job helping me understand what I was getting into BEFORE coming to help me. This isn't the case with everybody! I really didn't feel as though I was being taken for a ride... at least not metaphorically... I WAS given a ride back to my truck :)My truck was up in a reasonably difficult place to get to, and an Alpine employee took the old 1979 Ford up there in to rescue me, and did an excellent job not only reversing up to my vehicle on the snowy trail, but giving me the guidance and support I needed to help him help me get my truck out safely. I'll be honest and say I was worried about the old truck at first, but it performed beautifully. (I'm forgetting the employee's name but he absolutely deserves recognition for his work... He's worked with Alpine for about nine years and grew up in the Buena Vista area, and spent some time driving semis as well. He's got tattoos, some on his right hand. Wonderful guy! Really gave me the confidence I needed to get me out of a sticky situation).Additionally, Alpine helped me get the air back into my tires before sending me off, and gave me the information I needed to provide to my insurance company. While I drove home a little shook up after the event, the professionalism and help Alpine (and our great employee here) gave me made me feel as though I'd absolutely made the right choice.Edit: I should add - on the way up, our star employee told me the best way to make sure we get my truck out safely is to trust one another, even though we don't know one another. I would wholeheartedly trust him and Alpine to help me out of a tough situation again.

Honestly the best experience. The price was extremely reasonable and the driver was extremely careful. Shout out to our awesome driver SCOTT. He's like the Santa of towing. And to the lovely dispatcher who helped us with our restaurant order while we waited. Excellent honest service.

Charlie, the driver was excellent. They came out on a Sunday when the other AAA towing service (Cloud City) declined our tow. I rode with Charlie after he had secured my disabled pickup. His cab was pristine. In a tow truck!!!! He was polite and courteous. But more importantly he was a very attentive driver and I felt very safe. No amateur. Thanks!

Great service & fast. The owner really bailed me out of a tough situation. I had a dead battery 5 miles in on a forest service road. He came and got me going. Very fair price too, considering how far off the paved road I was. Service: Battery service

These guys are horrendous! Had to get a car towed to the mechanic-- you know, because it wouldn't run and what not. Called them in via AAA first thing in the morning (8am) and then waited, and waited, and waited. Supposed to get there in a couple hours-- call, and reschedule. Supposed to get there in another couple hours. Call, and reschedule. This goes on for the rest of the day until finally at 5pm they come and get it.Great towing company if you don't mind waiting in your car for nine hours. Truly great... One small suggestion though- perhaps give people an honest time frame so they can plan accordingly?

I got transitioned because my tow was far so I got to meet two drivers. Mike and Ben, both awesome and friendly. I was out between Hartsel and Buena Vista and they got to me in 1.5 hrs. Even with 300k+ miles on their trucks they are still clean and not disgusting to sit in.

I was broken down 7 miles west of Monarch Pass in a Class A motorhome and once I got where I had cell service, I began to try to arrange to get repairs made.In an effort to get the necessary repairs moving, I started early in the morning trying to locate a shop to take it. I made several phone calls at about 8:00 a.m. and got no one to answer the phone so, I went to have a bite of breakfast when one of the shops called me! It was Ron at Ron's Diesel Dawg Diesel and Automotive. We had a fiasco the previous evening with AAA. and ultimately the RV sat on the highway overnight. Ron recommended Alpine Towing the next morning so I called them at around 9:00 a.m. The dispatch "Mo" was helpful and kept things moving along. Their driver, "Charlie" was out on 3 other tows and they said around noon, they would be ready to go get it. At 11:30 I met the driver at their business and he left in a 50 ton wrecker to retrieve my motorhome. It was almost 50 miles one way and he had it at the repair shop at 3:30.After talking to Charlie, I felt very comfortable with him towing my motorhome. He knows his stuff!I highly recommend this Alpine Towing if you need one and are anywhere near Buena Vista, CO

By far the worst towing company I have ever used. I called AAA and I waited 8 hours for a tow truck before calling another company. After 8 hours alpine could still not give me an approximate time of when they would arrive. Dispatch was extremely unhelpful. Also this company only has one tow truck. They advertise they have a fleet of trucks, but its actually just one single truck they have in service. Terrible service from alpine towing.

$167 a mile for a 38 mile tow, and no it wasn't in a blizzard or inclement weather. I would recommend lighting your vehicle on fire before calling this tow service. There are plenty of other good, reputable tow companies in that area, do some research. But without a doubt, avoid Alpine Towing.

My vehicle died at Walmart. Alpine towing was fast, courteous, and helpful in getting me to a wonderful shop, Advanced Automotive, who found an electrical issue. This shop said they recommend Alpine, since they knew this company towed vehicles properly, and no further damage to the vehicle would be incurred. A frustrating situation was just a bump due to great service.
